The Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP) is the crown jewel of the Federal Bureau of Prisons’ substance abuse rehabilitation programs. Inmates who qualify for this rigorous, residential nine-month drug treatment program receive up to a one-year sentence reduction. They also receive a recommendation for maximum halfway house placement. But while many federal prisoners desire to
