Supervised release is where inmates are put on probation following a term of federal imprisonment.

Supervised Release Reductions

Following a term of federal imprisonment, most federal prisoners are required to spend a number of years on supervised release. Supervised release is much like probation, but after a term of incarceration. While some released prisoners will only remain on supervised release for a few years, others, such as many sex offenders, are required to be on it for life.

Once you have been on supervised release for several months Zoukis Prisoner Resouces can start the evaluation and preparation process for seeking a reduction in the term of supervised release. This usually requires us to draft a memorandum outlining your compliance with supervised release and to work with competent counsel to petition the sentencing court to agree to the reduction.

Usually such a petition is made after one year of compliance with the conditions of supervised release.
