MacArthur Foundation

One way to help reduce recidivism in our prison system is through prevention. The MacArthur Foundation provides grants and loans to programs that support organizations which contribute to defending human rights programs, making cities safer, international justice, education for children in developing countries and health services for those in need.

The MacArthur Foundation is one of the largest private philanthropies in the United States. Grants and loans go to individuals and organizations that support creative ways to defend human rights, global conservation and changing complex social strategies aimed at making the world a more peaceful place to reside.
