By Christopher Zoukis

Our good friends at Prison Education News have recently launched a new service that many {Prison Law Blog} readers might find of interest.  This is their Inmate Locator Service, which helps connect those outside of prison to those on the inside by providing links to every state’s prison system’s inmate locator tool, and the prisoner locator tool of the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

While we at the Prison Law Blog have our own, more in-depth Inmate Locator service planned, it is going to take some time to complete the work on this project, which will provide the same functionality, but host much of the information here as opposed to linking to it.  Until our Inmate Locator service has been activated, we will be linking to PrisonEducation News’ Inmate Locator service in our sidebar.  This way the service is easily visible and always handy for our readers.

If you know anyone in prison, or know anyone who does, please share this new service with them.  Help support our efforts and theirs by tweeting about the service, Liking and sharing it on Facebook, and linking to it from your website and blog.  Every link and mention about the Inmate Locator service helps.
